Another homecoming at Fort Drum, New York. This welcome home ceremony was one of my favorites only because the family that was reunited is so near and dear to mine and my husbands hearts.  They are close friends of ours and I am so thankful I was able to be there for their reunion! Little baby Eloise wasn’t too sure about this strange giant man standing over her but as soon as her daddy sat on the ground “peek a boo” was the perfect ice breaker!  It only took about 5 min for this little love bug to snuggle up and love on her dad!  If you’ve never experienced a homecoming before let me just say that they are full of emotion. You are crying happy tears, anxious, excited, happy as could be and extremely impatient!  The second those soldiers walk through the door your heart is instantly at ease knowing that this deployment is officially over and they are home.  Your heart is over the moon and you are just ready for them to be dismissed.  I am so happy this beautiful family is whole again!
